Spotlight: Bella Rios Releases “Bitter”

Have you ever had an identity crisis? Have you ever wondered something along the lines of, “How did I even get here?” Because, if so, you’ll want to keep on reading. Today’s spotlight goes to an artist who also had a moment of crisis, and the result was a creative track. Today we have the pleasure of talking about an artist, that despite being young, this artist knows how to turn nervousness into confidence. 

Bella Rios

This singer-songwriter is based out of Nashville, Tennessee. And despite being only 18 years old, Bella has had a wide variety of opportunities thrown her way. Despite being so young, Bella has already spent years exclusively performing covers. During her high school years she released rock-leaning originals, inspired by the classic records she was raised on. Bella was raised listening to artists such as Led Zeppelin, Heart, and Fleetwood Mac. As she continued through high school, Bella was also traveling and performing with professional children’s choirs; all while receiving classical training in both voice and piano. Despite being 18 years old, Bella has accomplished quite a bit in the musical world. Today, she has gained an incredible amount of traction with around 7,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. Therefore, it is now clear that Bella has started to form a significant fan base that also lives for diversity in music.

“Bitter”

This edgy dream-pop track takes on a new era of Bella’s music. The first take that one might expect from the instrumentals is for the song to be in a video game. Bella takes moody, powerhouse pop songs to a whole new meaning with Bitter. By providing edgy and rock-like vocals with catchy instrumentals, Bella creates a diverse sound that continues to break barriers with the pop music industry. Lyrically, you’ll find that the song reflects the image of a young artist who is coming into her own, finding confidence, strength, and a newfound sense of self along the way. The self-made harmonies provide an extra layer of remembrance to the lyrics that will get stuck inside a listener’s head. The music video features a space-like and bright background which proves an extra level of depth into the track. With already over 26,000 views on YouTube, it is clear that Bitter is deeply loved by many and will continue to support Bella in her music career.

With a diverse background in music, there is no telling what Bella can do with her future music career. Featuring catchy instrumentals, and breathtaking vocals, the single, Bitter, adds a new layer of depth into how it can feel when you’re in an identity crisis and how to move forward.
